Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Solway, Minnesota  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an engineered wood products manufacturer that services the construction industry for both residential and commercial markets. The company operates out of a mill, producing 375,000 feet of high quality oriented strand board per year. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Millwright/Maintenance Technician.

What you will do: The Millwright/Maintenance Technician inspects, installs, repairs, adjusts, constructs, modifies, calibrates, programs and wires electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltages in the mill or assigned area. The position practices and demonstrates safety in all work activities and tasks, troubleshoots, corrects and repairs process electrical problems, process control issues and electrical systems in a  heavy industrial environment. The role improves electrical component and systems reliability, works with electronic system controls and circuits, and assists mechanical maintenance in equipment installation, troubleshooting and repair when required or assigned. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician recognizes, considers and understands safety precautions and proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations, while also installing, replacing, and removing electrical motors.

What you will need: HHigh School diploma from a recognized public or private school system or accredited home school curriculum; or, GED. Work experience preferably in a production, manufacturing, construction or industrial environment. Forklift or Heavy equipment operation experience. Previous experience working with automated, high-speed production machinery.
