South Bend, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of metal finishing services to a variety of manufacturing industries. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Maintenance Supervisor.
What you will do: The Maintenance Leader instructs, trains, and coaches maintenance personnel in all aspects of the job, including the proper maintenance techniques, safety requirements and plant operations. The role performs maintenance, installations, and repairs of equipment and building support systems, is accountable for maintaining the department’s annual budget, on-going PO processing and vendor approval, and works with the other divisions as necessary to ensure full maintenance training and support throughout the company. The role works closely with outside vendors to ensure issues are resolved immediately, works on job duties and assignments as they relate to maintenance, repair, installing, fabricating, adjusting, troubleshooting, and any other maintenance duties as needed, and is responsible for scheduled preventive maintenance checks. The role is responsible for departmental inventory control, diagnoses/resolves equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties, performs mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations, and performs start-up and shut down functions on plant equipment and facilities as required. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor responds to emergency calls on a 24-hour basis, is responsible for maintaining departmental documentation as required, and adheres to all Quality System procedures and work instructions, while also participating in the handling, labeling, containment and disposal of hazardous waste.
What you will need: Associate’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering. Broad based knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing acquired through hands-on training. Current experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing, managing 30+ personnel. Blueprint and schematic knowledge. Maintenance experience with cranes, pumps, compressors, and motors. Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience. Up to 480v basis electrical knowledge. TPM, 5S knowledge and practice.
