Hardware Engineer - Automation/Robotics

Rochester Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a manufacturing company focused on controls, software, mechanical, and processing engineering. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Hardware Electrical Engineer.

What you will do: The Hardware Electrical Engineer assists with determining project scope based on customer requirements, travels to customer facility to perform field checks and for engineering reviews, and writes specifications and scope of work documents. The position works with purchasing staff to order project materials, determines electrical designs based on project requirements, and uses CAD software to create drawing packages for project designs. The role creates bill of materials for each electrical assemblies, assists quoting staff with determining requirements and costs for potential projects, supports shop and field technicians to ensure that equipment is installed correctly, and assists with debug activities.

What you will need: BS in Electrical Engineering. Experience in electrical designs for robotic automation systems. Experience creating drawings on AutoCAD software. Experience with robotic paint and/or dispense systems. Experience with engineering retrofit systems. Experience working on new product developments. Extensive design of automation systems using FANUC robots. Knowledge of ISO 9000:2000 principles.
