Architectural Sales Manager

San Diego, California – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier of architectural and consumer glass products. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for an Architectural Design Sales Manager.

What you will do: The Architectural Design Sales Manager proactively develops/manages a network of architects, designer/architects, glazing and general contractors to drive sales growth through the specifying process of products and selection by the contractor. The role executes a strategic plan within the territory that utilizes internal and external resources to maximize sales though new relationships, presentations and meetings within the entire design and build and final purchase process, while also prospecting for new architectural contacts and other key influencers within the sales chain. The position conducts educational sessions on glass technology with architects, glaziers, fabricators and other key influencers, presents the product line/technology to various organizational levels and expertise, and identifies new product/application opportunities. Additionally, the Architectural Design Sales Manager tracks projects utilizing the CRM system (SalesLogix) from the design process through to ultimate completion, ensuring products are purchased.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Proven success selling commercial goods as an inside/outside sales representative. Experience selling building products, preferably glass. Experience hunting new sales prospects. Strong experience working with or in an architectural firm. Experience in an influential sales role including all aspect of the sales cycle. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as familiarity with organizing and managing a CRM. Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
