Hempstead, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a Process Engineer – Coatings.
What you will do: The Process Engineer – Coatings explores new powder manufacturing routes and technologies, establishes process procedures and work instructions and handles special safety or lean related projects. The role supports the R&D laboratory manager, carries out audits, and prepares quotations for experimental powders to customers. The position supports manufacturing process and product engineering group during product trouble-shooting and scale-up of new products, stays on top of the cutting edge technologies and equipment upgraded, and transfers technology from pilot to manufacturing. Additionally, the Process Engineer – Coatings generates, maintains, and updates equipment manuals and processing procedures, generates engineering reports, status reviews and presentations, and provides assistance for CAPEX, lean projects and safety projects as well as quotations.
What you will need: Master’s degree in materials science or engineering. Current experience in process engineering within an R&D manufacturing space. Hands on experiences with powder manufacturing and materials processing. Experience with troubleshooting and auditing of systems.
