Chesterfield, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of manufactured fasteners. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Process Engineer.
What you will do: The Process Engineer facilitates new launches of products with current manufacturing processes, leads/participates in continuous improvement projects on existing and new processes and products, and supports on-going production processing issues. The role develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing processes, recommends technologies to drive manufacturing improvements, and analyzes, plans, and designs work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and layout of existing equipment. The position consults with engineering, concerning process design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods, estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs, and applies statistical methods in conducting machine and process capability studies, while also leading activities associated with manufacturing effectiveness. Additionally, the Process Engineer identifies opportunities and develops plans for reduction/elimination of waste, collaborates to identify projects, resources, timing, and value of projects, drives manufacturing improvements, and leads plant in efforts to improve OEE, inventory turns, on time delivery, decrease lead time, PPM, and customer complaints.
What you will need: B.S. Degree in Engineering. Current experience in process engineering within manufacturing. Experience leading teams within engineering. Knowledge of fasteners is preferred. Experience with lean manufacturing.
