Recovery Area Manager

Asheville, North Carolina- Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an industry leading manufacturing client that has been in business for over 100 years. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for an Area Manager – Recovery.

What you will do: The Area Manager – Recovery leads the efforts to safely and efficiently operate the production operations in a fully integrated, complex, pulp and paper manufacturing process and works with supporting departments (maintenance, EH&S, engineering, and manufacturing excellence) to drive continuous improvement in all facets of the organization. The position leads the efforts in the Recovery area to produce the highest quality product, plays an active and forward thinking role in the management team to enhance the overall performance, and maintains a high level of environmental performance. The role drives the equipment improvement process through committed support of the Total Asset reliability program, manages the operational performance of the Recovery area to supply quality white liquor to the Pulp Mill with minimum variability and cost effectiveness, and builds, develops and strengthens through leadership, education and empowerment an organization that meets the needs of the pulp manufacturing area.

What you will need: Undergraduate Degree with current experience in a supervisory role. Knowledge of paper mill processes. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product. Previous experience in recovery boilers, evaporators and lime kilns. Experience in an union environment.
