Charleston, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery movementsearch.com is working with one of the world’s leading manufacturers in automotive, commercial truck and consumer goods industries. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Human Resources Generalist.
What you will do: The Human Resources Generalist supports all HR functions, including but not limited to, employee relations, benefits, recruitment activities, safety, health, and payroll. The role maintains confidentiality in all dealings, participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems, and schedules, implements, coordinates and manages new hire orientation and ensures paperwork is completed accurately (tax withholdings, I-9’s, etc.). The position assists in planning and implementation of company employee relations programs and activities, maintains records pertaining to personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations, completes employment verifications, and coordinates administration of unemployment benefits. Additionally, the Human Resources Generalist maintains up-to-date job descriptions for all positions, assists in the processing and investigation of corrective actions, assists management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and safety, and recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. 2-5 years of experience in an Human Resources generalist role within manufacturing (not a senior level role). Experience with union avoidance. Current experience processing payroll, ADP preferred.
