Orlando, Florida – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a 100 year old power generation company. Our client is stable, growing and R&D focused. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Generator Service Engineer.
What you will do: The Generator Service Engineer remotely supports the design and field engineering teams by providing technical assistance and resolution for all forms of field service, start-up, and commissioning of generator equipment, including electrical equipment, mechanical hardware, controls and fluid systems. The role provides technical dispositions to resolve emergent issues during outage, commissioning and planning, interfaces with customers in office meetings and on site, and provides engineering input to support development of outage and installation procedures and schedules. The position develops service engineering procedures that support the continual technical development of the entire steam turbine organization, manages time effectively to provide timely responses based on outage and commissioning needs, and ensures fleet experience, operational feedback, and lessons learned are communicated back to design engineering to ensure continuous improvement. Additionally, the Generator Service Engineer provides support for emergency critical path activities outside of none core hours.
What you will need: BS degree in engineering. Strong experience in industrial engineering. Proven experience in generator/steam turbine maintenance and design. Intimate knowledge and experience of steam turbine/generator field assembly/disassembly, alignment, and clearances. Familiarity with ANSYS or similar analysis packages. Familiarity with CAD.
