Asheville, North Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with an industry leading packaging equipment client that has been in business for over 100 years. Their equipment is manufactured in several locations throughout the world and installed in facilities in over 50 countries. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for Process Engineer.
What you will do: The Process Engineer provides technical support for both the paper and board production areas to meet the process engineering needs. The position is involved in daily troubleshooting, quality control, customer issues, financial analysis, process and product improvement, new product development, capital projects, and administrative duties. This post tasks to review production quality and key process parameters and report out at daily production meetings, while assisting production management in identifying and solving issues that prevent the organization from meeting the goals. Concurrently, the role provides support to the organization on financial analysis for grade development and cost control of existing business, while additionally interfacing with customers, sales professionals, and the customer service organization to see to the needs of our customers. Furthermore, the Process Engineer not only assists in ensuring required testing, certifications, and all regulatory aspects of the paper, board making and extruding operations are met but also provides support and oversight in managing the grade specifications to be sure they are accurate and utilized in the operation.
What you will need: BS degree, preferably in Pulp/Paper. Up to 4 years of experience in the paper or board industry with a technical understanding of paper-making equipment and processes. QA/QC system knowledge in a paper or board business.
