Warren, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a automated systems and turnkey company. Due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Process Design Engineer – Automated Systems.
What you will do: The Process Designer is responsible for determining the operations to produce products and develop processes to ensure quality, cost and verify efficiency requirements are met using General Motors Software (SDP, XRWD, STDS and Process Designer Software). The position evaluates product and create operation systems for the manufacturing of products, creates/edits/maintains necessary process documentation, monitors/improves the efficiency, output and safety of processes through observations and measurements, and reviews process for material savings, scrap reduction, material handling reduction and efficiency improvements. The role develops new production methods using engineering fundamentals, develops plant layout to improve process flow and minimize material handling, and conducts capacity studies.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in design and process engineering. Knowledge of General Motors Processing Standards. Expert in GM SDP (Sequence Development Program) Software. Expert in GM XRWD (Request for Wiring Diagram) Software. Expert in GM STDS (Standard Time Date Sheet) Software. Expert in GM Process Designer Software. Industrial Process related experience. Familiar with Mig weld and Spot weld processes. Knowledge of Unigraphics & Auto Cad systems.
