Saline, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a international conglomerate with a growing division in the bearing space. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a General Manager.
What you will do: The General Manager manages all aspects of plant operations including production, safety, quality, P&L (profit and loss), retention, and compliance. The role manages activities of several departments/sections including production operations, safety, planning and scheduling, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and facility and equipment maintenance, while also developing/implementing policies and procedures to ensure and safe and efficient plant operations. The position analyzes/controls expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirements, directs the manufacturing and engineering areas to meet plant objectives and goals, and establishes operational objectives and plans weekly production schedules. Additionally, the General Manager meets with managers to analyze and correct problems and to ensure budgets, schedules and performance requirements are met, provides technical leadership in the manufacturing processes and techniques, and oversees implementation of operations schedules and staffing requirements within established goals for quality, timeliness and volume.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree with advanced direct operational management experience. Experience in a manufacturing/production. Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
