Louisville, Kentucky – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of building materials. Due to recent growth within the organization, they have opened a position for Third Shift Production Supervisor.
What you will do: The Third Shift Production Supervisor supervises a production crew on an operating shift for the effective and efficient operation of the plant in order to achieve the production goals for the facility. The role facilitates team meetings to discuss issues and develop solutions and action plans, supervises/direct the production employees, ensures that crews are ready for work at the designated time, and manages attendance, pay, and time-keeping. The position participates in root-cause analyses, administers company policies and procedures, conducts supervisor toolbox talks, and communicates plant requirements, while also supervising improvements in work methods and procedures. Additionally, the First Shift Production Supervisor works directly with maintenance, directs the operation of mobile equipment being used, plans daily tasks, and attends/participates in company safety programs including safety committees, safety recognition programs, and daily shift toolbox meetings.
What you will need: High School diploma. Current experience in production management within an industrial setting. Current experience in heavy industry such as steel, aggregates, pulp/paper or similar. Experience managing in a union environment is a huge plus
