Senior Director of Logistics

Gettysburg, PA  – Movement Search and Delivery    is working with a growing, diversified global manufacturing conglomerate.  Our client is 100 years old, stable and expanding their footprint.   Due to this growth, they have a newly opened role for a Sr. Director of Logistics.

What you will do:  The Senior Director of Logistics will be responsible to lead the change from the existing logistics environment into new and uncharted territory.  The keys will be focused on the development of key strategies for internal logistics, warehouse management and production driving Six Sigma and lean principles.  This position will be responsible for 5+ sites including inventory strategies internal material flow, production planning and order management initiatives. This is a highly strategic role that will focus on using logistics as a profit differentiation while reducing total logistics cost for the supply chain. The functional aspect of the role will develop and implement a concept for the internal logistics, focusing on optimized material flows, warehouse management, inventory reduction and supplier integration.

What you will need: Current experience in a strategic logistics management for  complex distribution operations for a manufacturing company.  Strong understanding of Transportation and Packaging systems.  Knowledge of Six Sigma Lean, Agile. A history of disruption.
