Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Resident Engineer. What you will do: The Resident Customer Engineer works on-site, communicating and interfacing with both customers and company engineering teams. The role coordinates technical activities for customer projects, coordinates/maintains CAD data exchange (2D and 3D), and maintains cooling module drawings in customer’s data management systems. The position supports DVP&R’s, DFMEA’s, preliminary BoM’s, Costings, Design reviews, DFA reviews, DFM reviews, represents all areas of engineering as the single (on-site) point of contact for customers, and initiates product quality improvements and cost reductions. Additionally, the Resident Engineer keeps managers informed of critical issues and concerns about projects, implements continuous improvement opportunities, and measures performance and customer satisfaction for the assigned area. What you will need: B.S. in Engineering. Experience in R&D or manufacturing engineering. Extensive engineering knowledge of materials and their applications. Knowledge of CAD software (ProE preferred). Basic knowledge in GD&T. Knowledge in designing heat exchangers or other engine components a plus. Background with sheet material fabrication, plastic injection molding, or aluminum die casting. Working knowledge of QS-9000 or TS-16949.
