Quality Manager


Savage, Minnesota – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with one of the US leaders in fluid power distribution. Based on their growth, they have a newly created position for a stand alone quality engineer/manager

What you will do:  This role will  Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product launches to meet customer requirements while determining when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes.  Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup. Coordinate pre-launch production trial run process monitoring. Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.

What you will need: 5+ years’ experience handling a certified quality management system (e.g. TS 16949, ISO).  Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and ability to understand and apply process audit principles (ISO/ASQ).  Experience in quality control program operations, to include standards & measurement techniques. Ability to apply quality control theories and principles to an operational environment. Six Sigma or Lean skills and tools exposure advantageous
