Quality Engineer - Automotive

Columbia, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Quality Engineer in their facility located northeast of Columbia.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer is responsible managing the complete quality function for one of their lines.  This line will be dedicated to one specific customer so the Quality Engineer will be responsible for the manufacturing quality, supplier quality and customer quality.   This role will rely on methods such as SPC, FMEA and audits working with tools such as 5s, SMED, Kanban etc.

What you will need: 5 – 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in performed as a quality/process engineer. Demonstrated experience in facilitating root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and corrective actions in a manufacturing environment.  Five years of experience with using two or more of the following quality tools: APQP, SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D, Fishbone, Gage R&R, Process Capability Study, PPAP. Quality Systems Auditing (ISO/TS/IATF 16949 or AS9100) experience.
