Plant Metallurgist


Steubenville, Ohio  – Movement Search & Delivery   is working with a global supplier to several OEMs. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Metallurgist

What you will do: The Metallurgist is responsible for administering and coordinating the testing activities to analyze product and raw materials to confirm fitness for use. The role administers, coordinates, and analyzes the testing (physical properties) and microstructure evaluation. Controlling product produced under DOE’s and MPE’s and arranging for re-testing, rework and deviation of non-conforming product. Assisting the Chief Metallurgist with the introduction of new products or processes into standard production. Compile data to help define product process capability and liaise with tech edit to ensure that the contract review process results in acknowledgment of orders that have proven capability. Review non-standard orders and consult with Chief Metallurgist on poor process capability orders. Assist Chief Metallurgist with the resolution of customer technical questions/problems Draft responses customer complaints of a technical nature.

What you will need: Bachelors in Metallurgy OR Materials Science.  Current experience in metallurgy.  Experience with Titanium a huge plus but not required.  This is a plant-based quality focused role that can be entry level up to senior in level.
