Parts Engineer - Manufacturing

Houston, Texas – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a 100 year old world leader distributed control systems.  Due to their continued growth and increase in market share, they have a newly created position for an Parts Engineer.

What you will do: The Parts Engineer is the local expert on parts identification, parts configuration control, non conformance report resolution, reliability, maintainability, parts inventory, and spare parts requirements for steam turbines, generators and auxiliaries. The position provides technical evaluation regarding spare parts inventory obsolescence, attends customer pre-outage planning meetings with KAMs (key account managers) to develop spare parts overhaul packages, and provides any customer/unit specific technical data to support supply chain management. The role develops recommended spare parts List (RSPL) for each unit on a component level, prepares work scope for stock spare parts requiring rework or repair, and assists KAMs and sales managers in the development of spare parts and retrofits/upgrade proposals. Additionally, the Parts Engineer supports retrofit sales request for spare parts packages, identifies, screens and qualifies potential domestic manufacturing resources, and assists in the issuance of all spare parts technical communications for parts change notification documentation.

What you will need: Bachelors degree in Engineering. Experience working in an engineering manufacturing environment. Current experience in parts engineering for a utility or turbine generator. Japanese competency is a plus.
