Quality Engineer - Automotive

Columbia, SC  – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer partners with suppliers to continually improve supplier quality issues, facilitates root cause analysis, and implements permanent corrective actions. The position drives internal improvements and facilitates the development & maintenance of control plans, PFMEA, and APQP documentation. The role maintains the quality management system to meet/exceed customer requirements and performs with internal & external audits. Additionally, the Quality Engineer assists customers, leads First article Inspections & PPAPs, and works cross-functionally with other departments.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Current Quality Engineering within a manufacturing, preferably automotive, environment. Current experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Gage R&R, and the ISO/TS?IATF standards.
