Manufacturing Engineer-Machining

Charleston, SC – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do:  This is a machining role is role develops and assists with assembly set up for new products, product changovers, and product changes.  Analyzes machining equipment for the best method of manufacture Adjusts machining code using M and G code commands, verifies operation of new/updated code Specifies cutting tools, equipment and processes to produce a part, or evaluate processes in assigned areas and directs the design and construction of tools and equipment. Defines and conducts DOE trials for new cutting methods and/or tools for process improvements. Defines metrics to accurately measure machine performance. Controls parameters and recipes for existing and new products. Develops and documents new tools, equipment, and processes


What you will need: AS/BS. . Current experience in manufacturing engineering. Experience in implementing continuous improvement. Machining experience. Knowledge and understanding of CNC related controls (Siemens 840D preferred) Knowledge of cutting tools, materials and methods of manufacturing Experience in automated equipment, tool design, tool engineering, maintenance and/or related functions
Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and drawings
