Maintenance Technician (Off Shift) - Automotive

Spartanburg, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Maintenance Technician.

What you will do: The Maintenance Technician performs complex repairs without supervision using mechanical equipment and/or hand tools and reads, modifies, or makes design changes to any mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or basic electrical prints when needed. The role utilizes Robotics and PLC’s, troubleshoots and repairs lubrication systems and components, hydraulic circuit components, electrical control systems, and pneumatic circuit components, and disassembles and repairs shaft bearings and seal assemblies. The position assists in tool changes on production equipment, directs others in performing necessary tasks for successful project completion, and leads other associates in continuous improvement projects. The role improves ergonomic, safety, environmental, and/or quality practices as they pertain to the company, installs production and support equipment, inspects equipment, seeks continuous improvement opportunities, and maintains all necessary documentation. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician performs maintenance welding and cutting using electrode welding, MIG welding, and oxyacetylene welding and cutting equipment.

What you will need: Current Manufacturing Maintenance experience. Automotive experience preferred. Current experience with PLCs required. Current experience with robotics strongly preferred.
