Plant Lean Coordinator


Montgomery City, MO – Movement Search & Delivery    is working with a growing, diversified,  company that is a leading supplier to tier 1, OEM’s and the commercial automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Plant Lean Coordinator.

What you will do: This role works with the corporate lean functions and plant management team in the implementation and coordination of Lean initiatives/projects This position provides hands-on application and teaching of lean techniques on the manufacturing floor.  The main focus is to coordinate the planning and execution, from start to completion, of Lean projects and working side-by-side with work area management and associated work groups to fully implement and assure sustaining mechanisms are in place.  This role leads plant-wide tracking of Lean project plans and drives the completion of tasks generated in project meetings and monitors sustaining activities to ensure successful and timely completion of action items. The position also tracks financial results and reports on quantifiable goals and objectives. Estimates future projects from financial, throughput, lead time and on-time performance improvements to assist in prioritization of projects.

What you will need:  Completed four-year degree. Current experience utilizing lean, process improvement and continuous improvement practices in manufacturing.  Black belt Technical quality standards and procedures experience, such as TS 16949, ISO, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, Cost of Quality, Strong working knowledge of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S’s, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma and Communication Tools, Statistical Problem Solving, or similar is preferred
