Production Manager - Automotive (3rd Shift)

Elizabethtown, Kentucky – Movement Search & Delivery   is working with an industry leading automotive company located in Elizabethtown, KY.   Due to a recent advancement, they have a newly opened position for a 3rd Shift Plant Production Manager.

What you will do: This role will be responsible for 3rd shift production activities within an international automotive manufacturing organization. The Production Manager will assist with the implementation of profit plants including defining budgets and forecasting.  This role will assist with the implementation of 5S, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing.

100+ direct and indirect reports over both production and maintenance.  This role is for an experienced leader in lean manufacturing principles implementation and team skills development/coaching on the shop floor to achieve practical and sustainable productivity improvements.  This position will focus problem solving analysis and team skills development/coaching on the shop floor to achieve true root cause identification and elimination.  This role will have 6 direct and 130 indirect reports.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering preferred).  Current experience in a high volume manufacturing environment (assembly experience is a plus). Quantifiable leadership skills managing production within a union environment.  Strong quality and production system experience is required (TPS is preferred).  Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement training required.
