Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a tier-one supplier to the automotive industry to highlight candidates for their newly opened Application Engineer.

What you will do: The Application Engineer is responsible for all design and development related activities (product functionality/reliability, timing, quality, profit). The role provides support to all other departments (production, purchasing, quality, program management, etc.) for a successful launch, participates in internal/external technical reviews, including: water, oil, and vacuum pumps (both electrical or mechanical), and interprets customer specifications and requirements. The position acts as customer support for products and programs, coordinates program design, calculation and testing for customer, and is responsible for maintenance of engineering related documentation. Additionally, the Application Engineer understands NAFTA market trends and provides feedback to product development.

What you will need: BS in Engineering. Current experience in application engineering within the automotive industry. UniGraphics, IDEAS or CATIA V5 knowledge and experience. Experience on operating engine components bench testing. Six sigma background. Experience with Ford, GM, or FCA preferred.  Experience with Mechatronics or Pumps
