Advanced Manufacturing Engineer-Tooling


Brighton, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery    is working with a world leading supplier of innovative parts and systems to the global automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do: The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for tooling takes ownership over the tooling for 2 new product launches.  The role provides consideration of new innovative manufacturing technologies, leads new quotation activities by providing detailed cost estimates, and works with the manufacturing sites to establish, select, procure and install equipment to support the launch of new programs. The position provides process engineering leadership, expertise and support for all powertrain processes: components and assemblies and leads manufacturing processes in all manufacturing locations, including plant layout concepts, supply base, logistics, process flows, and workforce utilization to attain maximum efficiency of installed capacity. Additionally, the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer develops master timing charts for manufacturing milestones, improves manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency, and develops standard procedures to improve manufacture processes and to reduce overall cost.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Current experience with assembly for JIT sequencing.
